Steamed radish cake ( fried version)

Cut into these sizes for fried version
This is a plain simple radish treat for fried version, the texture is good.

     Steps

Cook grated radish for 5 minutes as to tender the texture.

Flour mixture added in.
Keep stirring it.

I added in tiny pre-fried shrimps.

Stir until mixture become thickened.
Ready to get steamed.

Steaming done.

Glad I did this.  I missed this fried version radish cake for too long time...

     Recipe from: Carol Hu
   Ingredients
  (1)
   700g  grated radish
   1 tsp salt
   400g water

  (2)
   300g rice flour
   50g wheat flour
   1.5 tsp salt
   600g water

   Method
   1.  Mix salt with radish and leave for 20 minutes.  Squeeze out excess water.

   2.  Boil 400g water. Add radish and cook for 5 minutes, medium low heat to get it tender.

   3.  Mix all ingredients in (2) until all combined.  Now, gradually pour into the radish mixture.

Using low heat, constantly stirring until texture become thickened.  Remove from the heat, transfer mixture to a prepared greased pan and steam at high heat for 1 hour.

   4.  Let it cool completely before slicing.

Ingredients for fried radish (my own version)
1.  Fried with a bit of minced garlic, XO sauce, a bit of light soya sauce, dark soya sauce, sugar, white pepper, beaten eggs, bean sprout.  Well, let your imagination go wild from here, chopped turnip (chai po) ..anything you like.  Taste as you go.  Yum.
